Betty S. Poe of Greenville, S.C., is vice chairman of the NFRW Fundraising Committee. She is immediate past president of Greenville County RWC, the largest club in the state. She was chosen as Republican Woman of the Year for the South Carolina FRW at the 2007 biennial state convention. She serves as first vice president of SCFRW.

Betty was elected first vice chairman of the Greenville County Republican Party in February. She previously served as second vice chairman. She served as chairman of the Greenville County Victory 2006 campaign to get out the vote for Republican candidates. Despite Republican losses throughout the country, all Republican candidates for constitutional offices in South Carolina were elected except one.

Betty is a retired insurance executive and she serves on the Foundation Board of Clemson University, following in the footsteps of her husband Billy’s commitment to his alma mater.

One of her passions is donating time as volunteer coordinator in the Infusion Room of the Chemotherapy Department at the Cancer Center of the Carolinas. She serves on numerous other boards and is active in her church and community.
