Martha Jenkins was elected NFRW 3rd vice president at the 35th Biennial Convention in Orlando and took office in January 2010. She previously served as vice chairman of the NFRW Public Relations Committee, which helped update the list of NFRW media contacts and sent out news releases to support the GOP agenda.
Jenkins also served as president of the North Carolina
Federation of Republican Women from 2003-2007. In 2005, she was a
finalist for the NFRW Ronald Reagan Leadership Award, and in 2007,
she won the Reagan Award as the outstanding state president for
2006-2007.
During her tenure as president of NCFRW, North Carolina won the
Betty Heitman State of Excellence award in 2005 and 2007. In 2007,
North Carolina won first place in the NFRW Public Relations Award.
Jenkins also started the NCFRW Regents Program. She worked with
Republican legislators in North Carolina to help pass Jessica’s Law
in 2008. During the fight for Jessica’s Law, Jenkins appeared on "The
O’Reilly Factor" on Fox News.
Prior to serving as NCFRW president, Jenkins served four years as
Capital Region Vice President for NCFRW. She served as president of
the Republican Women’s Club of Chapel Hill and was vice chairman and
chairman for the Orange County Republican Party.
Jenkins is married to Ed Jenkins, and they have two daughters,
Kimberly and Mary.
