Betty Rendel of Indiana An effective fundraiser, Rendel established the NFRW as a $1 million-plus organization. She traveled tirelessly to every state during her administration to encourage continued growth of clubs and to inspire women of all ages to become involved in the governing of our nation. She also expanded the Caring for America program to encourage volunteer community service and established the Pathfinder Scholarship for women researching substance abuse prevention. In the 1990s, the NFRW established a scholarship in her honor. .
