Paso Robles Republican Women Federated is on an energetic upswing, attracting new and younger members.
Starting in January 2014, the club had 78 members and is growing rapidly, planning to end 2015 with at least 120 members. Members are working hard to reach out to the community to make the Federation a household word.
In 2015, the club created (and constantly updates) a splashy new Facebook page, joined the Paso Robles Chamber of Commerce, began seeing Honor Flight veterans off on their trips to Washington, purchased aprons with the club logo to wear during the monthly Adopt-a-Street clean-up of the large city hall grounds, had an entry in a big local 4th of July parade, supported Federation conferences, and much more. California FRW President Roseann Slonsky-Breault spoke in June, congratulating the club on its success.
The biggest undertaking, however, is that for the first time we are hosting a vintage extravaganza for 400 people in August at Paso Robles Estrella Warbird Museum and Hangar, in honor of active military and veterans. “Celebrate America: Showtime at the USO” will feature a wide variety of delicious foods, dancing and a 9-piece swing orchestra, access to Estrella Warbird Museum and extensive car and aircraft collections, and entertainment vignettes. An added attraction will be a once-in-a-lifetime and thrilling flight opportunity on historic WWII plane "Betsy's Biscuit Bomber" C47.
