Four Corners Federated Republican Women
Four Corners Federated Republican Women (FCFRW) of Farmington, New Mexico, was chartered in 1988. The club has 150 members and 39 associate members, including two state senators and four state representatives.
The NFRW Club Achievement Award is the blueprint for club programs and activities during our monthly meetings and community involvement; we earn the Diamond Award consistently.
Informative programs pertaining to the Four Corners area help educate members and attract new members. Fundraising assists candidates, and provides a local scholarship and community outreach activities. A recent gun drawing fundraiser helped fund candidates statewide in the 2014 election, when Republicans won the House majority.
FCFRW supports a statewide issue each legislative session and has supported Right to Work and Voter ID legislation by writing letters and visiting with legislators. The club is visible and active in the community, offering voter registration opportunities during community events throughout the year.
FCFRW’s Caring for America projects have included supporting needy local National Guard families. Club members donate grocery cards, clothes and Christmas presents for the families and children. Club members also donate items to a local behavioral health center, helping homeless, recovering addicts through treatment and housing.
The FCFRW fall and spring semester scholarship pays tuition for a Republican woman attending the local community college. Annually, the club supports the NFRW scholarship, foundation funds and the Mamie Eisenhower Library Project with donations of books to local schools.
FCFRW utilizes Facebook, a website, emails and a monthly newsletter to inform and update members.
