Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated
Conejo Valley Republican Women Federated’s goals are to educate the public and strengthen the party through regular meetings featuring accomplished leaders, voter registration at local events, candidate forums and other community projects.
The club offers political education, leadership training, and campaign involvement to its 90 members, as well as scholarships to high school seniors, book donations to school libraries, and care packages for our troops.
Club members operated the last eight temporary GOP headquarters in the Conejo Valley, making over 180,000 calls in 2012 and donating over 24,000 hours in the last two years. Several members are delegates to the county and state parties and have held volunteer positions on local, county, state and national election campaigns.
The club just held its 15th televised candidate forum and another is planned for May. Several members have run for local non-partisan office. This year, President Kerry Nelson is running for the state assembly.
Members have been honored for volunteer hours by the Ronald Reagan Library, the California Republican Party, and the Republican National Committee, and even have been invited to the White House. In early 2009, the club was honored by the California State Party as the “Best Grassroots Club in the State.”
