Becky Johnson was elected NFRW 1st vice president at the 38th Biennial Convention in Phoenix and took office in January 2016. She is the director of NFRW Region 9, which includes Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island and Vermont.
Johnson has been a member of the Linn County Republican Women since 1985, and served as president of the Kansas Federation of Republican Women from 2010-2013. She also has served in many other Kansas FRW offices, including 1st vice president (2006-2009) and parliamentarian.
At the national level, Johnson has been an NFRW Capitol Regent for nine years and an NFRW Regent for many years. She served as NFRW 4th vice president, chair of the NFRW Regents Program and on the NFRW Public Relations Committee.
Active in Republican politics since 1968, Johnson has worked on numerous Republican campaigns, including Lynn Jenkins for Congress, and Bill Graves for Governor. She served as Linn County chair for George W. Bush, and is Kansas director and board secretary for Maggie's List. She serves on the Board of Governors of the Dwight D. Eisenhower Excellence in Public Service Series, of which she was a member of the 2006 inaugural class.
Johnson is a member of the Centerville Community Church, and past board secretary. She served as president of the Prairie View High School Booster Club, and as president of the Parker Elementary Parent/Teacher Group.
She has been a partner in MAE Resources Inc. since 2006, and has been married to Terry Johnson for 41 years. They are the parents of twins Jerred E. Johnson and Emily A. Johnson Dickey, and the proud grandparents of Bryson and Ryanne Dickey.
