Who will be our next president? Who among our many great Republican leaders will capture the GOP’s heart?
We may find out this week at the Southern Republican Leadership Conference in Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma Republican Party and the Oklahoma Federation of Republican Women are hosting this conference, where the “first in the nation” presidential straw poll will be conducted. The stakes are very high for all of the candidates, as the Southern region is not only the largest in the U.S., but also the most conservative.
Oklahoma, as the reddest state in the union, is the perfect place for this first straw poll. Every declared and potential candidate will have an opportunity to speak at the general session, to talk about the issues and their strategy for defeating Hillary Clinton.
For only $75, you can attend all three general sessions on May 21-23. You can attend other special events for additional fees.
We currently have commitments from:
Amb. John Bolton
Gov. Jeb Bush
Dr. Ben Carson
Sen. Ted Cruz
Sen. Lindsey Graham
Gov. Bobby Jindal
T. Boone Pickens
Sen. Marco Rubio
Sen. Rick Santorum
Gov. Scott Walker
Also invited are Gov. Chris Christie, Gov. Mike Huckabee, Sen. Rand Paul, Gov. Rick Perry and Gov. Sarah Palin.
The event will also feature our Gov. Mary Fallin and Corporation Commissioner Dana Murphy, as well as NFRW President Kathy Brugger.
The theme is “Energizing America.” Our goal is to educate all Republicans, especially women, on the importance of energy independence, not only for America’s economic health, but also for our security. When we don’t have to depend on foreign oil, our nation is much more secure.
There also will be a number of breakout sessions on topics such as outreach and leadership.
The Oklahoma Federation is hosting the Red State Rivalry Breakfast Saturday, May 23, at 7:30 a.m. at the Cox Center, where the general sessions are being held. Special guest speaker will be Carly Fiorina. A prize will be given to the state with the most Republican women in attendance. Breakfast tickets are $30 for Federation members. Order breakfast tickets via Eventbrite.
This is a super opportunity to visit the Heartland of America and see the presidential candidates up close and personal!
