ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) has approved the charter of a new Republican women’s club in Mississippi.
Lincoln County Republican Women was chartered on March 2 with 20 members. Cindy Moore of Brookhaven will lead the club during its first term. Club members meet bi-monthly.
“The NFRW is pleased to welcome this club into our nationwide network of grassroots leaders,” NFRW President Carrie Almond said. “We look forward to working with Cindy and club members to promote Republican principles and elect Republican candidates during this 2016 election cycle and beyond.”
Club dues are $40. These dues also cover membership in the NFRW and in the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women. Several club programs, events and projects are underway, and members have already hosted campaign forums, organized precinct poll watchers and attended the governor’s inauguration.
“We will work in partnership with the Lincoln County Republican Executive Committee, the Lincoln County Teen Age Republicans and area College Republicans to grow the membership and increase the effectiveness of the Lincoln County Republican Party,” Moore said.
For additional membership information or other details, contact Moore at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
