Mission of Tour: Registering Women Voters, Electing Republican President
ALEXANDRIA, Va. – The National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) will take its new red, white and blue campaign RV on the road next week. The “Destination: White House” tour will kick off from Missouri for rallies in the Midwest and the Northeast, beginning May 9 in Iowa and Nebraska, and will continue throughout the campaign season.
The purpose of the tour is to put a Republican back in the White House by registering Republican-leaning women to vote and rallying communities and Republican women’s club across the country. These rallies will feature NFRW President Carrie Almond and other NFRW leaders, as well as local Republican elected officials, and GOP and Federation leaders.
“Women's voices and votes will make the difference in this election, and the NFRW is ready to get rolling to ensure Republican victories in November,” NFRW President Carrie Almond said.
Founded in 1938, the NFRW has thousands of active members in local clubs across the nation, making it one of the largest women’s political organizations in the country. The grassroots organization works to promote the principles and objectives of the Republican Party, elect Republican candidates, inform the public through political education and activity, and increase the effectiveness of women in the cause of good government.
