Education and Political Programs
Election 2008 - resources, materials and information on
the 2008 presidential, congressional, state and local
elections [MEMBERS ONLY]
Campaign Management Schools - grassroots seminars held
throughout the country that teach invaluable skills to
candidates and campaign workers
Jessica's Corner - dedicated to protecting our children
from sexual predators through advocating the passage of
Jessica's Law in every state
Issue advocacy workshops - sessions that educate members
on issues and legislation, as well as effective lobbying
techniques
Legislative Day at the U.S. Capitol - an opportunity to
attend Congressional committee hearings, visit with Members of
Congress about legislation, and participate in issue briefings
Comprehensive Advocacy Program (CAP)
- e-mail hotline initiated by the NFRW
president to generate support or opposition for an issue or
legislation that concerns members
No Child Left Behind
- grassroots issue advocacy program designed to raise
awareness in America's communities of the need for education
reform
Candidate Recruitment - organized effort to identify and
encourage Republican women to run for state and local office
Legislative Action Center - stay on top of important
legislation and keep in touch with your elected officials and
media
Leadership Development and Mentoring - resources, links
and program ideas designed to help Federation members initiate
mentoring programs at the local, state and national levels
Razzle Dazzle Road Show -
an educational, fun, entertaining program brought to clubs
across the nation by trained presenters; focuses on topics
covered in the NFRW Achievement Awards, including membership,
fundraising, issue advocacy, community service and much more
Conventions, meetings, seminars and workshops - biennial
national conventions and other meetings and programs bring
Republican women together to conduct Federation business, to
acquire important skills and knowledge, and to discuss issues
The Republican Woman magazine - this official
publication and primary communications tool is available to
all dues-paying members
Members Only Web site - this technological counterpart to
NFRW's magazine provides access to a national network of
information and interactive capabilities
Capital Connection e-newsletter and e-mail network
- updates and information (including the weekly newsletter
Capital Connection) are distributed free of charge by e-mail
to members who sign up for this service
Caring for America - encourages volunteerism and private
sector initiatives at the local, state and national levels
Support Our Troops - encourages local clubs and members to
show support for the Armed Forces by engaging in projects that
aid our U.S. troops and their families
Education and Literacy
- a series of programs that promote education and literacy
in our nation's communities
Americanism - resources, links and program ideas designed
to help Federation members raise awareness of flag protocol
and promote patriotism in their communities
Mamie Eisenhower Library Project (MELP) - fosters
Republican philosophy and ideas through the donation of
related books to libraries, schools, hospitals and other
institutions
Dorothy Kabis Memorial Internship - awarded to young
undergraduates each summer
National Pathfinder Scholarship - awarded annually to
college students enrolled in graduate or undergraduate studies
Betty Rendel Scholarship - awarded annually to college
students majoring in government, political science or
economics
The Regents Program - these major donors support a variety
of programs through their invaluable financial assistance
The NFRW Education Fund - contributions supplement the
cost of the NFRW's Campaign Management Schools and help bring
the program to more communities
NFRW Federation Partners - for those who wish to make
a commitment annually from $100 to $500
The Marion Martin Building Fund - contributions to this
fund help maintain and preserve the national headquarters
located in Alexandria, Virginia
Planned Giving - through charitable contributions to
NFRW's tax-exempt foundations, Republican women can promote
ideas, issues and programs important to them
Women and the GOP - the importance women have played and
are playing in the Republican Party is demonstrated through a
series of historical data and current statistics, profiles of
candidates and elected officials, analysis of the "gender gap"
and more
