Education and Literacy
The NFRW Literacy
Committee strives to sponsor and support a variety of programs, and
we hope there is at least one to fit each NFRW club, regardless of
club size or location. We sincerely believe in our motto –
Readers Become Leaders.
Please contact any member of the
NFRW Literacy Committee for
additional information.

MAMIE
EISENHOWER LIBRARY PROJECT (MELP)
MELP is the NFRW’s oldest literacy program, celebrating
more than 45
years of book donations from an approved list to schools and
libraries. Bookplates are mailed to clubs upon receipt of the
list of books to be donated. This enables the committee to
track the numbers and names of books being donated by
Republican women across the country.
