Retired from a career in the retail business, Suzanne Crow moved
to Louisiana in the late 80s and immediately became involved in
various neighborhood, community, and political activities as a full
time volunteer serving on foundation boards, chairing community
fundraising events, and serving in appointed positions in parish
government. She became an active member of the Louisiana Federation
in the early 90s after working on her first Louisiana political
campaign for her state senator.
As a Federation member, she has served as an executive officer in
three clubs, as LFRW Awards Chairman, and as a Region Vice
President. Suzanne served on the Orleans Parish PEC, as a tri-parish
coordinator for the LAGOP, and is a member of the State Central
Committee with a seat on the Executive Committee. She has served as
parish or regional chairman for several campaigns, both state and
national, and was an elected delegate to the 2004 RNC Convention in
NYC.
Last year, Suzanne campaigned for LFRW president to increase
membership; to strengthen relationships and cooperation between
local clubs, the state federation, and NFRW; and, to expand and
improve communications throughout the organization. Months later,
she feels that these same initiatives remain the keys to continued
success for LFRW.

The Louisiana Federation was organized and became affiliated with
the NFRW in 1953. Strengthening membership and recruiting new
members are always top priorities. Today, LFRW is divided into 7
regions with 38 clubs.
Over the years, clubs have established effective grassroots
organizations dedicated to recruiting and electing qualified
Republican candidates. Members take an active role in campaigns at
all levels and have developed innovative fundraising ideas to
support community service projects and to provide special needs for
our troops. LFRW is committed to education through club scholarships
and the LFRW Ginny Martinez Scholarship. Members support the "No
Child Left Behind" program with an annual "My Favorite Teacher"
award to an outstanding educator.
Though many challenges lie ahead as Louisiana continues to recover
from the hurricanes, LFRW members are up to the task. We firmly
believe "Republican Women Make A Difference." We have committed
ourselves to taking an active lobbying role in our state's
legislative process by staying in close communication with all of
our elected officials and weighing in on the critical decisions that
will determine the future of our state.
LFRW is proud of the role we played in "painting our state red" for
George W. Bush; in electing David Vitter, our first Republican
senator since Reconstruction; and, for the role we will play as
Louisiana moves forward!
