The Texas Federation was founded in 1955 and affiliated with the NFRW the same year. TFRW has 31 districts and 164 clubs.
Clubs participate in voter registration and outreach activities,
the TFRW PAC fund, get-out-the-vote and candidate recruitment
efforts, campaign management schools, political rallies, forums and
legislative day events. Members help furnish volunteers for local,
state, and national campaigns and legislative hot lines. In
addition, members participate in patriotic community service
projects such as the TFRW Barbara Bush Literacy Library, Career
Women, Caring for America, Senior Americans and Young Women.
