Red Jacket Day and Board Meeting

March 10-11, 2025
Boise, Idaho

The Idaho Federation of Republican Women (IFRW) is set to convene a two-day event at the Idaho State Capitol on March 10-11, featuring its semi-annual board meeting. The gathering will bring together all seven state Constitutional Officers, who will provide insights into key developments from their respective offices, ranging from the Governor's Office to the Controller's Office.

Throughout the event, attendees can expect visits from various legislators who will report on current legislative issues. Additionally, the chairwoman of the Idaho Republican Party will join the discussions, facilitating a comprehensive exchange of ideas and information.

A key focus of the meeting will be the role of Republican women and the operational aspects of running a club. National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) President Julie Harris will be present to address the organization's history and its influence within the Republican movement.

Participants can look forward to a series of informative training sessions featuring prominent speakers. Secretary of State Phil McGrane will provide insight into the Idaho Sunshine Law, while former Attorney General and Law Professor Lawrence Wasden will explain the nuances of IRS 501(c)(3) and 501(c)(4) designations. Additionally, Chief Deputy Nicole Fitzgerald and the state Business Director will lead a review of the requirements for registering a club in Idaho, including guidelines for state and federal filings related to fundraising activities. Furthermore, training on the ins and outs of required state and federal filings will be offered.

The first day of the event will culminate in a fundraising dinner, featuring historian and former Lieutenant Governor Dave Leroy, who will discuss the policies and legacy of Ronald Reagan, as well as the significant impact Republican Women have had in shaping both state and national policy.

The second day will wrap up with the selection of delegates for the upcoming NFRW convention, ensuring that Idaho's Federation of Republican Women continues to play a vital role in the political landscape.
