Successful Annual March Fundraiser Benefits GOP Candidates

Each March, Sierra Nevada Republican Women (SNRW), a political action committee in Nevada, hosts a St. Patrick's dinner and fundraiser. Since the inception of the event, thousands of dollars have been raised and donated to candidates.

Past President Barbara McRoberts and her committee oversaw the preparation and the carrying out of details of the 2019 event. She made arrangements with the Director of the Culinary Arts Department at Douglas High School to have the high school students cook corned beef, cabbage and accompaniments. The students also assisted in decorating the dining room in which 174 guests enjoyed themselves after being served dinner by local elected officials. An auction also brought in funds.

Members, guests, high school students and elected officials are brought together annually for this entertaining and enjoyable event. Holding it annually reinforces that the date be placed on calendars.
