The Ohio Federation of Republican Women helped commemorate the 100th anniversary of women's suffrage at the Cincinnati Reds game on July 6.
Mary Anne Christie, past president of the Ohio Federation, chaired the event. She reported the following:
"What an exciting day at the Cincinnati Reds/Cleveland Indians game. It was an incredible way to make the Women's Suffrage 100th anniversary public!
"With a strong recognition of the anniversary by the commentators, we walked out on the field in front of 40,000 fans. Also present were Supreme Court Justice French, Lt. Gov. Jon Husted with family, Hamilton County Judge Heather Russell, Cleveland County Chairwoman Sally Florkiewicz, and Columbus SCC member Susie O’Brien.
"The Cincinnatti Reds commentators talked about each one of us. The icing on the cake was when Reds owner Bob Castellini came out on the field to congratulate us on our suffrage work."
