78 Years and Still Going Srong!
Early-on, Idaho’s terrain made it difficult to maintain contact among the clubs. Therefore, Idaho did not have enough fully organized clubs to make it possible to be federated until after 1943.
The Nez Perce County Republican Women’s Club was established on April 29, 1943 with Hazel Stone Shook the founding President.
The Idaho Federation of Republican Women (IFRW) was founded in 1944 and concurrently affiliated with the NFRW. Hazel Stone Shook, of Lewiston, was the IFRW founding President. She was a native of Pocatello who married O. D. Shook. The IFRW currently has two districts and 13 clubs.
CONGRATULATIONS NEZ PERCE COUNTY REPUBLICAN WOMEN'S CLUB ON 78 YEARS SUPPORTING THE REPUBLICAN PARTY!
