Clubs Hosts Roaring Twenties Gala with Larry Elder
I am still on a high from the incredible Fresno County & City Republican Women Federated (FCCRWF) Roaring Twenties Gala on July 26! We showcased our club thanks to the hard work and talent of the 2nd Vice President Lois Murphy, 3rd Vice President Norma Burdick and the members of the Ways and Means Committee. The line of the night that was heard over and over again was, "That was so much fun!”
Our club focuses heavily on politics and issues and being engaged and active citizens, and that is important. But it was also a treat to just kick up our heels in our finest flapper attire and just have a good time for an evening.
Make no mistake, we still talked politics and enjoyed a motivating, on-point message from our keynote speaker Larry Elder. He discussed multiple studies that have exposed solutions for the problems plaguing our society. He noted that the reason these solutions are rejected is because they don’t blame the myth of systemic racism and they don’t suggest government programs as the fix. We would all do well to keep a close eye on Larry Elder and his future endeavors. His is a valuable voice with a keen understanding of the root causes of our society’s decline. I encourage you to check him out at larryelder.com and find out why he is known as The Sage from South Central!
Again, I cannot say enough glowing things about the gala and the ladies who poured their efforts into its success. FCCRWF is blessed with a remarkable team. The atmosphere created at the gala provided people not just with an enjoyable evening, but also with a supremely memorable experience! Have I used enough snazzy adjectives and flowery descriptions to adequately express how fantastic it was? I hope so because it was an event for the ages! And a special thanks to the elected officials and candidates who joined us as well.
