Club Hosts BBQ for U.S. Senate Candidate Adam Laxalt

Churchill Republican Women of Nevada hosted a BBQ for Adam Laxalt, Republican nominee for U.S. Senate, Nevada.

The club had requests from members who could not attend lunch meetings that evening meetings might be scheduled approximately twice a year. So, it was decided to hold the September meeting as a membership event at a member's home located along the Carson River.

Club officers invited Adam Laxalt, Nevada candidate for U.S. Senate to be our speaker, and we were overjoyed when his campaign said yes. We were even happier when the campaign asked if the BBQ could be a scheduled campaign event.

The campaign staff made it such a success – the club did get with one new member but so much more. Originally officers hoped to have 50-75 attendees. At least 120 attended, including numerous members of our central committee, a number of members of neighboring club Fernley Republican Women, and past and current state officials such as Patty Cafferata, Dr. Robin Titus and Carol Del Carlo.
