Club Spreads Holiday Cheer at Home and Overseas

To provide some cheer and caring to others, Chandler Republican Women of Arizona was busy with four holiday drives.

Under the blanket of Caring For America, CRW members donated warm clothing and blankets to the Chaplaincy for the Homeless Fall Festival Give Away program.

For children of low income families, members donated unwrapped toys for the AZCEND (nourishing minds and bodies) Operation Santa and raised funds for the LEOS (Law Enforcement Outreach and Support) Shop with a Cop program where ten children got to spend $100 shopping with a police officer.

For our military, members donated wrapped shoeboxes filled with goodies - snacks, essentials, games, socks - that we shipped in time for Christmas.  Two of the recipients were President Debra Schinke's son and Treasurer LouAnn Sedwicks's daughter, both of whom are deployed overseas.
