Club Attends Grand Opening of Local Charity's New Facility

On February 18 Montgomery County Republican Women of Texas attended the grand opening of God's Garage's beautiful new facility in Conroe.

God's Garage is one of our favorite local charities. It helps single mothers, widows, and wives of deployed American military with auto repairs, and even donated cars. In the 8 years since it began operations, God's Garage has gifted over 600 cars to women with children who had no transportation. 

The organization also provides "how to" seminars in life skills, job interviews, and dressing for success and has led over 100 of their clients to Jesus Christ over the last 18 months. 

We were so proud to have 18 club members attend the grand opening, where we presented a check in support of this worthy organization. Barbara Eddlement, Caring for America co-chair, organized our club's participation at the event. We are collecting gas and grocery gift cards to be presented to God's Garage president at our March meeting.
