Club Awards Priscilla Petty Scholarship at May General Meeting

Northwest Forest Republican Women of Texas received four applications for the $1,000 Priscilla Petty Scholarship for 2023. 

This scholarship, named for the club's first president, was selected by a committee chaired by Susan Langenheim and Barbara Young. 

While all four of the scholarship applications were quite outstanding, it was a unanimous decision to choose Adeline Hargrave as this year's recipient. Adeline will attend Baylor University in the fall after graduating from Klein High School, northwest of Houston. Adeline intends to major in political science and international studies.

Among her high school accomplishments are serving as president of the National Charity League and as a varsity cheerleader, maintaining her status on the A/B Honor Roll all four years, and participating in the Young Life organization. 

Adeline, along with her parents, attended the monthly club luncheon meeting on May 9 to receive this special recognition.
