Club Celebrates Seven Years Since Recharter, Awards Five Scholarships Totaling $4,000

Wood County Republican Women's Club of Ohio celebrated its 7th anniversary since its recharter.

Along with our anniversary, we awarded five scholarships, totaling $4,000, to five female high school graduates. Four winners attended our dinner at Belmont Country Club, while the fifth winner was on a student trip to Costa Rica. We are so proud of these young women and hope to follow them in the future. Since 2017, we have awarded over $15,000 in scholarships.  

We also celebrated the announcement of new county GOP Chair Cindy Hofner, who is a club member. We are so fortunate to have so many elected officials as members of our club and now the county GOP chair.

For the second time our club has achieved the required points to receive a Diamond Award at the National Convention in Oklahoma. Plus, we are a very active community club and have enjoyed all of our efforts working for candidates at the local, state and national levels.
