Club Presents $10,000 in Scholarships

At the May 13 meeting, the Republican Women of Wickenburg (RWOW), assisted by Arizona State Treasurer Kimberly Yee, awarded $10,000 in scholarships to three outstanding young women from the Wickenburg area.

The first scholarship for $5,000 in honor of NFRW Past President Rae Chornenky was awarded to Kinsey Nixon, a senior at Wickenburg Christian Academy, who will be attending the University of Georgia in pre-veterinary studies.

The next scholarship for $3,000 in honor of AzFRW Secretary Jan Hermsmeyer was awarded to Morgan Coker, a senior at Wickenburg High School, who will attend Northern Arizona University to study for a degree in marine biology.

The final scholarship, the RWOW President's Scholarship for $2,000, was awarded to Anna Gangl, a sophomore at Grand Canyon University studying for a degree in marine biology.

We are so very proud of these young women and are excited to be able to help them with their continuing education.
