On May 14, Republican Women of Prescott was proud to award $20,000 in scholarships to six outstanding high school seniors from Yavapai County and two Embry-Riddle freshmen in front of a sold-out audience at Prescott Resort.
RWOP started this program in 2015 and thus far has awarded 104 deserving recipients with $144,275 in scholarships.

Funding for this year’s scholarship program came from RWOP’s two main events last summer – Charlie Kirk and Patriot Barbie in May and Dennis Prager in August, along with contributions from RWOP members, the Scholarship Committee, and the Rhodes Foundation.
RWOP acknowledges the hard work of the Scholarship Committee, which includes Sherrie Ragsdale, Elaine Janks, Karen Varela, Dian Tucker, and Chair Barbara Ernst. This committee evaluated each applicant’s transcript, resume, letter of recommendation, 500-word essay, and in-person interview.
RWOP was established in 1942 and currently ranks as the largest Republican women’s club in the Nation, with almost 1,000 strong.
