Club Collects School Supplies for Local School Tools Program
Golden Triangle Women of Jefferson, Orange, and Hardin County, Texas, collected much-needed school supplies for the School Tools program through the Southeast Texas Food Bank last fall. It was highly successful and greatly appreciated.
Because of the high poverty rate in Beaumont and the surrounding area, many children do not have the supplies they need. This program helps relieve the burden on the teachers to provide for these children.
Starting in January 2025, the club's Literacy Committee will collect money for the purchase of children’s books, which will be donated to the Theodore R. Johns Sr. Library in Beaumont. Through our generosity and giving spirit, Golden Triangle RW can educate our youth so they can make educated decisions through reading.
