Though there are many great women in and from Kansas, Senator Braun highlights three women pioneers that left their marks in Kansas politics and history and are a legacy for us all. Senator Braun was the featured speaker at the Kansas Federation of Republican Women Kansas Day Banquet celebrating Kansas' entry into the Union.

At the January 16 luncheon meeting, Nevada County Republican Women Federated (California) welcomed the Rev. Dan Prout, who spoke on the colliding of cultures.

On February 9, the Metro Republican Women of Minnesota held the 15th annual Lincoln Day Tea. This is a high tea held to honor our 16th President and in special memory of Ida Van Stone, former member of Metro Republican Women and lifelong Republican activist.

In April, the Darke County Republican Women's Club will host "Addiction - Everyone's Enemy," a free public service and educational event.
