Wood County (Ohio) Republican Women's Club Anniversary Dinner

The Wood County(Ohio) Republican Women's Club celebrated the one year anniversary since re-charter in 2016 at the Republican Convention in Cleveland, Ohio.  The original Club was organized in 1935 and had a membership of 500 women.  We celebrate this milestone that re-charterd with thirteen women that has increased to forty-seven and growing!  We have many goals for our Club to continue the education and support of all Republican women and candidates locally, State-wide and nationally.

We have a great group of Republican women who strongly come together when there is a need, such as elections. Over 50 percent of the members work the polls, the headquarters, etc., during elections. We have 65 members, and -- we are proud to say -- 27 Associate Members who support us, as well.

The Valley County Republican Women (VCRW) club has 27 members who live from McCall to Smiths Ferry, a distance of 46.7 miles. Our members are very active in the Republican Party and regularly support activities sponsored by the Valley County Republican Central Committee (VCRCC).

Club Spotlight

In March, Northwest Republican Women of North Carolina welcomed Susan Tillis, wife of U.S. Sen. Thom Tillis and founder of Baby Bundles, a program that provides necessities for newborns of military families at Fort Bragg. Club members brought baby items to the meeting to help support Baby Bundles.

Club member became an American Citizen

One of our members, Yon Hui Williams, became a naturalized American Citizen on March 17, 2017. Yonnie lived in Seoul, South Korea, and moved to Clinton, Iowa, in 1995.
