KERI ABERNATHY of Mississippi
Slated Position: NFRW 4th Vice President
Keri Abernathy was elected treasurer of the National Federation of Republican Women (NFRW) at the 41st Biennial Convention held in Orlando and officially assumed office in January 2022. She is the advisor to the Fundraising and Corporate Fundraising committees. Additionally, Keri serves as the director of NFRW Region 8, which encompasses the states of Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Michigan, and Wisconsin.
Keri's involvement with the NFRW extends beyond her current positions. Prior to her election as treasurer, she served as the President of the Mississippi Federation of Republican Women. Before her presidency, Keri held the role of Treasurer within the Mississippi Federation and served two terms as the Third Congressional District Director for the organization. Her dedication to the Federation is evident through her efforts to support local clubs and facilitate the establishment of new clubs.
At the local level, Keri is an active member of the Rankin County Republican Women and has held multiple positions within the organization, including President, First Vice President, Secretary, and Treasurer. Her involvement in these various roles showcases her commitment to grassroots Republican activism.
Keri holds a degree in Speech Communication from the University of Southern Mississippi. With a career spanning 20 years in the nonprofit sector, she has managed projects, employees, and multimillion-dollar budgets funded by both private and public sources. Keri's expertise in nonprofit management was recognized when she received certification from the Mississippi Alliance for Nonprofits Excellence in Action in Nonprofit Management, a program offered by the Else School of Management at Millsaps College.
Outside of her nonprofit and political engagements, Keri and her husband own a real estate investment business. In her leisure time, Keri enjoys traveling with her husband and two daughters, exploring genealogy, and touring historic homes.
