Club Members Attend NCFRW Winter Meeting

On February 8 and 9, the officers and several members of the Onslow County Republican Women’s Club attended the North Carolina Federation of Women’s Winter Board of Directors Meeting in Greenville.

Friday evening, a “47 Celebration Dinner” was hosted for all attendees featuring a guest speaker, Gunnery Sergeant Jessie Jane Duff, USMC (Ret). She is the Executive Director of the Veterans and Military Families Coalition, also known as Veterans for Trump. She’s also an Ambassador for the America First Policy Institute and an analyst for Newsmax. Her stirring address focused on recent events, America First policies, executive orders, and a challenge to stay informed and engaged as Republicans work to reverse policies and actions that continue to erode US sovereignty, security, and prosperity. The evening ended with networking and fellowship in the NCFRW Hospitality Suite.

On Saturday morning, a Club Presidents meeting was held providing an opportunity for local club presidents to get important updates on state-level issues and concerns. Legal and policy briefings were shared and clubs were able to garner resources to use at the grass-roots level. Simultaneously, Club Treasurers held a round table meeting to share important information. Afterward, the Board of Directors Meeting was convened with a call to order, roll-call/quorum, prayer and pledge. The business of the Meeting included strategic updates on GOP matters, upcoming actions, and proposed changes to the NCGOP Plan of Organization. This information will be shared with local members at upcoming club meetings.

The final event was the Dottie Martin Scholarship Luncheon with guest speaker Jason Simmons, NCGOP Chairman.
