Wisconsin’s supreme court election is April 1. This “non-partisan” race may well impact the whole country. One of the candidates, Susan Crawford, not only defended Planned Parenthood in court but also fought Wisconsin’s Voter ID law. There is a court challenge on this same Voter ID law which will come before the court, particularly if she is elected.
Crawford is supported by democrats nationally. In fact some high-powered democrats hosted a fundraiser that was exposed by the New York Times in which potential donors were enticed by the promise of winning control of two congressional seats in Wisconsin in 2026. The invitation to Crawford’s appearance blatantly states, “Winning this race could also result in democrats being able to win two additional U.S. House seats, half the seats needed to win control of the House in 2026.” Notable supporters include Eric Holder, chairman of the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, and Reid Hoffman, billionaire democrat donor. George Soros has also donated to her campaign.
The promise is that if Crawford is elected to Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, the liberal-controlled court will take up a case that will result in modifying Wisconsin’s Congressional map, flipping two Republican seats held by Congressmen Bryan Steil (R) and Derrick Van Orden (R). Since Republicans only hold a four-seat majority in the U.S. House of Representatives, this would be a huge win for Democrats in their bid to control Congress in 2026.
In addition and also troubling is that it is expected that the democrat-controlled WI State Supreme Court will overturn Wisconsin’s Voter ID Law. Both Wisconsin’s redistricting map and voter ID law were previously challenged and were upheld by Wisconsin’s Supreme Court, and the redistricting map was also upheld by the U.S. Supreme Court, but liberal opponents have brought new challenges to these and other previously decided cases so that the new, liberal court will overturn prior decisions.
By contrast, Brad Schimel will uphold justice and the rule of law and not legislate from the bench. Schimel is a former state Attorney General of Wisconsin and he is currently a county circuit court judge. He will make an excellent Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice. Note that Elon Musk’s PAC has made a major purchase of air time in Wisconsin. Visit Schimel's web site.
