Club Hosts Ninth Biennial Veterans & Military Appreciation Dinner

On March 8, Brevard Federated Republican Women (BFRW) hosted the ninth biennial Veterans & Military Appreciation Dinner, which coincided with Women’s Day. For 18 years, BFRW has used the proceeds from this event to support our local veterans and military. The cherished tradition allows us to honor the sacrifice and dedication of our military members while contributing to our community in meaningful ways.

Brevard County Court Clerk Rachel Sadoff, a Federated sister and dedicated public servant, served as master of ceremony. As keynote speaker, Col. Lawrence Miller (Ret.) was inspiring, sharing with us a heartfelt letter written to his loved ones during his Iraqi deployment. Congressman Mike Haridopolos discussed the work being done in Washington, DC. Under President Trump’s leadership, our Republican Congress is working hard to cut spending, reverse Biden-era regulations, and protect our border.

Barbara Rumpel, a board member of the National Rifle Association, spoke with us. Barbara and the NRA continue to do so much in defense of our Second Amendment rights. The evening ended with new friendships made, old friendships reinforced and, most importantly, a renewed appreciation for our veterans and active military.

We sincerely thank our sponsors and guests for their backing. Without your unwavering support, BFRW and its illustrious 75-year history would not exist. Your patronage inspires us to be better and to do more to support our veterans and active-duty members, and to protect the freedom we all value.
