Resolution Passed Celebrating Centennial of Women's Right to Vote
The North Carolina Federation of Republican Women hosted its annual Legislative Day on June 16. This was our first actual event in several months, and we were so excited to be together. After meeting with our legislators, we sat in the gallery while Rep. John Torbett read a proclamation passed by that body honoring the struggles and sacrifices endured by the suffragists to ensure the passage of the 19th Amendment, which 100 years ago, gave women the right to vote.
