Mecklenburg Evening, North Mecklenburg, Lake Norman Clubs Showcase GOP Senate Candidates
Three Federated clubs have come together to create the Sister Clubs "Candidate Series." The Sister Clubs include Mecklenburg Evening Republican Women's Club (Charlotte), North Mecklenburg Republican Women's Club (Huntersville, Cornelius, and Davidson), and the newly-chartered Republican Women of Lake Norman (Mooresville).
We support the three Republican candidates running for the U.S. Senate in North Carolina while following the Republican Party policy of assisting all Republicans during the primary elections. The Candidate Series provides the opportunity to listen, learn, and ultimately make an informed choice when voting in the 2022 primary next spring.
Each club will host one of the three candidates running to fill the seat of retiring U.S. Senator Richard Burr. The first event was hosted by North Mecklenburg Republican Women on June 8 at NorthStone Country Club in Huntersville. The invitation was sent to all club members, friends from the local communities, and posted on social media. Nearly 100 people came to meet former Congressman Mark Walker and hear him share his experience during his term in Congress and his plan going forward.
Mecklenburg Evening Republican Women will host former N.C. Governor Pat McCrory on July 20 at Myers Park Country Club in Charlotte. Congressman Ted Budd will speak on November 9 at an event hosted by the Republican Women of Lake Norman in Mooresville.
We had a wonderful time meeting each other, making new friends, and increasing our membership rosters. We're grateful for the opportunity to partner with and share a bond of sisterhood with the dedicated women of our Sister Clubs!
