A Message from NFRW President Eileen Sobjack
Momentum is building in Republican Women organizations across the country. As we approach one of the most critical elections of our time, Republican Women are rallying for the RED wave of 2022.
Our 2022 membership has surpassed last year’s total on this date by 137%. Requests to charter new Republican women’s clubs are pouring in! Seventeen brand new clubs are already chartered and nine more are in the works. By the time this newsletter is sent the number will be even higher. Thank you to the state federations for working so hard to build our grassroots network.
Meanwhile, our country is experiencing tremendous increases in prices of consumer products. That’s not a good increase! We are experiencing the worst consumer inflation in 40 years. Americans are paying more at the grocery store and gas pump as their average hourly earnings fall. Seventy-five percent view the economy as poor, and only one percent views it as excellent. It doesn’t have to be this way for hard-working Americans. America is still a land of opportunity and prosperity, but we must have Republican leadership in place to turn this around.
Republican Women will be key in educating voters on the issues, so they vote RIGHT in November. NFRW is ready with valuable programs to support you. Coming up at the end of the month is the Program Committee’s first Bite Size Training of 2022. Everyone enjoyed these short informative programs so much in the last term. I know you’ll enjoy your new host, Chair Glynis Chester, and the topics she has chosen. Mark your calendar for the first program: Tuesday, February 22, at 1:00 PM Eastern.
Last week, political director Terri Hauser and I attended the Republican National Committee (RNC) Winter Meeting where I was able to introduce NFRW during the Western Regional Breakfast. I caught up with my home state of Washington’s GOP Chair Caleb Heimlich and National Committeewoman Marlene Pfeifer, who is also a member of the Washington Federation’s virtual club, and many of our Republican women who also serve in the RNC. Sandye Kading, NFRW’s liaison to the RNC, made sure I was introduced at a luncheon. Afterwards, I had many RNC members approach me to brag on their federation. You are appreciated! Even if you don’t always hear it!
