Club Rappelling Event Raises Funds for Human Trafficking Victims
High Noon Republican Women of Missouri was proud to join the effort to support survivors of human trafficking. Steve White went OVER THE EDGE and rappelled down the 12-story Overland Park Marriott for our club after we raised over $600. The money raised will go toward building “tiny homes” for the survivors. ReHOPE offers long-term, residential housing with faith-based restorative programs and services for adult women and minor girl survivors of human trafficking.
State Rep. Jeff Coleman got involved with this effort after hearing about ReHOPE at a High Noon meeting. He will offer legislation related to human trafficking in the next legislative session. He attended the OVER THE EDGE event to support our efforts.
