State Suffrage Leader Harriet Bishop Makes Appearance
On March 9, the Minnesota Federation of Republican Women hosted its annual Day at the Capitol event, which was very well-attended despite weather forecasts.
Several Republican representatives addressed our group, including Minority Leader Lisa Demuth.
Terri Nelson gave a talk on and impersonated Harriet Bishop, a teacher who was instrumental in the state's suffrage movement. Bishop is featured in a state capitol outside garden. Nelson's talk was informative, interesting and a highlight for many of members.
