Club Hosts Caring for America Fundraiser
Ector County Republican Women's (ECRW) carnival toss fundraiser was a success, raising $4,315 for West Texas Gifts of Hope (WTGH).
WTGH provides rooms for patients receiving chemotherapy or radiation, along with their family that travel from out of town to Odessa. WTGH has a building named Hope House where the patients stay. Hope House has four bedrooms with private bathrooms. The funds raised will help WTGH build additional rooms. Currently patients are being moved to local hotels because of the overflow.
WTGH also has a lunch program for patients receiving treatment at the hospital. All food items are donated. Several of the food preparation volunteers are members of ECRW.
