Club Hosts Patriotic January Meeting
Wood County Republican Women's Club's January meeting was a kick off of bringing patriotism back to our grassroots activities.
The club program chair presented the history of the "Star Spangled Banner," written by Francis Scott Key at Ft. McHenry. Along with the wonderful skit and singing all of the stanzas of the song, we had fabric strips laid out in our meeting room to show us just how large the handmade flag was that flew over Ft. McHenry. It was interesting and uplifting. We all agreed that we would never sing this national anthem without thinking of the history.
Our calendar has been set to do all we can for our candidates and our community. This year we will celebrate eight years of being rechartered and helping Republicans in Wood County and our community.
