State President Attends National Legislative Day at U.S. Capitol
In an action-packed Red Jacket Day on March 11, women from around the state of Idaho came to the state Capitol to hear from state constitutional officers, legislative leaders and other prominent women about how the state government functions.
The group had a wonderful lunch prepared by Canyon County Republican Women's Club. Republican women invited their legislators to have lunch with them and talk about important legislation. The group also watched the legislature in action during a floor debate, heard reports on the Idaho presidential caucus and on an open primary ballot initiative, and heard from local club presidents.
A few days later on March 14, Idaho Federation President Tracey Wasden attended NFRW Legislative Day on Capitol Hill, as well as the NFRW's Spring 2024 board of directors meeting in Alexandria, Virginia. "We were taught how to lobby our congressmen, and we met with our state delegations," Wasden said.
