The New Mexico Federation of Republican Women hosted "A Night on the Right" gala on June 28. The event featured President Trump's 2016 senior economic advisor Stephen Moore, as well as New Mexico comedian Virginia Gonzales, a champagne VIP room, and a successful silent auction.
The gala kicked off with a champagne VIP social and book signing with Moore, who, in addition to his work with President Trump, is a visiting senior fellow at the Heritage Foundation, member of the Wall Street Journal editorial board, author of numerous books, and a regular correspondent on Fox Business News. Republican candidates had the opportunity to mingle with constituents and other candidates at the candidate social.
President Teresa Barncastle welcomed the 100+ attendees, introduced the state executive officers, and recognized club presidents and members. Chaplain Joan Boue' offered the prayer and Americanism Chair Carolyn Atkinson lead the pledge. Serving as the emcee for the evening was 3rd Vice President Anita Statman.
Comedian Virginia Gonzales warmed up the crowd with campaign humor before a four-course meal was served. Fundraising Committee member Anise Golden Morper introduced each of the congressional candidates, who gave a short update on their campaigns. Stephen Moore was exceptionally engaging as he explained our economy and how Trump helped in the past and will help in the future.
A special thank you to Treasurer Heather Curtis who wrangled all the registrations and silent auction funds along with all the member volunteers.
