Should the United States make a serious effort to acquire Greenland?

I believe it might be beneficial but the focus should be getting our country back on track before seriously pursuing this idea.

While I applaud the president for his out of the box thinking I just think at this point we have many more issues here at home to address

I can see Trump's reasoning, and it may be correct, but actions like this have a way of coming back to bite you in the rear. It might set a dangerous precedent.

America First. Let's secure the America we have first. Let's first fulfill promises to voters-make abortion illegal, end homosexual unions, end Obama Care and restore affordable private insurance and health care that didn't require waiting months for a dr. appointment. Let's first make America moral again (Judeo-Christian values strengthened, growing, and popular), secure the border, free natural resources up for the economy, bring down inflation, and make Alaska red again (probably by tightening voter rolls and elections as its local politics/elections are trending blue and bluer). Also, before we acquire Greenland, let's first secure Alaska from enemy invasion and threats, establish food security in Alaska by tweaking the Jones Act to allow goods on American carriers to be shipped straight to Alaska without requiring them to go through Seattle first, and establishing a stronger Alaskan port in a safe part of Alaska, free from threats and shut downs foreign and domestic. We just moved from Alaska in 2024, and while we left for many reasons, we're hearing that one of many reasons working Alaskan families are leaving Alaska is because they don't feel it's been secure with Biden Administration policies, plus Canada and TSA and airlines haven't been allowing travel between Alaska and the Lower 48 to be as free and continuous as Alaskans would like for their comfort and safety, especially during COVID. TSA has been too invasive since 9/11 (Since we kept planes very safe before the Patriot Act, there's gotta be a better alternative than making people wear immodest, skin-tight clothing, groping people, or making them be exposed to x-ray radiation, like maybe not negotiating with or being soft on terrorism.), and with Canada complicating things sometimes (like during COVID), travel options can be even more limited to/from Alaska especially, not good for travelers, truckers, military, or workers and citizens in Alaska. Also, there's too many locals and corporations in Alaska that are expressing that they would like to see Alaska given back to Alaskan native tribes or Russia. If you call your local utility company in Alaska, or attend a school board meeting or meeting at a school or other public meeting, you may hear (as I have) a recording or an official state that "Alaska is tribal land". Why acquire Greenland when we already have Alaska and are letting it slip away? Not to mention the spending deficit we already have. Let's secure America First, let's secure what we have and pay our debts down before looking at what else we can pay for outside of America. America First, with the exception of seeing Israel, our most important ally, through her war and defending her against her enemies, because according to the Bible, we need each other, we serve the same God, and we have the same enemies.

The United States is in such tremendous debt, I am not sure now is the time to make such a purchase. We need to get our house in order, make America great again, then, down the road strongly consider spending money to purchase Greenland. However, if it happens, I am not opposed to it.

The advantages of having Greenland as part of the USA are many and I applaud Pres. Trump for broaching the issue. I think it is best if the Greenlanders decide for themselves and this is the perfect time to ask them.
I am much more concerned about us getting back the Panama Canal. Many do not realize what it took to build the canal. The French tried to do it twice and failed and lost hundreds if not thousands of workers in the process.
Most of you have probably heard the name Walter Reed. He headed the team that determined that the cause of the deaths was the spread of Yellow Fever by mosquitoes, which lay their eggs on still waters. The French had brought in birdbaths, which were a perfect breeding site for the mosquitoes. When the eggs hatch, they go off to bite another human and transmit the Yellow fever virus to their victim.
Yellow fever is a hemorrhagic disease similar to ebola.
Pres. Carter was a good and well intentioned man, but he should never have given up the canal. The Panamanians may have needed money and expertise, but they should never have turned the canal over to the Chinese.
TAKE IT BACK, MR. PRESIDENT!
