Some of those projects were overseas. I don't believe we need to be building things overseas anymore. The days of being in Europe should come to an end. They can defend themselves. I am a retired Air Force Officer's wife.

I am absolutely in favor of President Trump using funds from the Defense Department to build the border wall. Overseas defense means nothing if we do not defend our borders here at home. Our first defense priority should always be knowing who enters the country, and making sure we exclude those who have not obtained permission to be here. Only then can we consider whether or not to build elsewhere.

I understand that a portion of the funds were intended to build a new office for cybersecurity. Cybersecurity is important, but the wall and cybersecurity are not mutually exclusive. If both cannot be done, those who work in cybersecurity can work out of one of the many vacant buildings already owned by the US Government.

I’m completely in favor of President Trump using funds from the Defensive Department to build the wall. The Democrats in Congress refuse to allocate any funds to build the wall. This is the President’s way of fulfilling his campaign promise without the help of Congress. It is critical that the wall be built, because the wall is highly effective in stopping illegal immigrant crossings and human smuggling, according to our U.S. Border Patrol. If the wall is not being built, this could also hurt President Trump’s chances of getting re-elected.

YES ! I live in New Mexico, we are a border state and my city is considered a border city. We are a very progressive D city and they have spent over $1 millions dollars supporting the 17,000 illegals that have been dumped in our city. Antelope Wells, which is a small border crossing in the Bootheel, has seen over 200 illegals at a time come over the border at night into our state. Hospitals are overwhelmed as many are sick, we have been told the illegals come first at hospitals and doctors offices. NM does not have any real barriers at the border, most are old wood fences falling apart. We need help despite what the Democrats say.

I support building the wall but also a strong military. As long as this money doesn't come from pressing military projects, and doesn't weaken the military, I am OK with using the construction money.

I am absolutely in favor of President Trump allocating monies to help build the Wall on on Southern Boarder!!! Congress has done everything possible to stop him from building the Wall! Walls work. We are being INVADED! We cannot possibly support the millions of people who are entering this country illegally. Having them come in legally. I am a retired Nurse and I know full well these people are not coming in to seek asylum, they are coming here to get "free money", "free health care", "free housing". We need to take care of our own people, like are Veterans!!! The Democrats want the illegals to come, they view them as free votes. Look at California, it is going Bankrupt! We cannot support these people!!! BUILD THAT WALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This is security for our great country. The left does not want border security or rule of law. Build the wall. Enforce the laws on the books.

Get the job done. Yes I've seen the wall in Arizona when they started building it several years ago. Made me sad and sick. Do we need it to protect the invading enemy? Yes! A promise is a promise. So get it done Mr. President and move on. Build our military. Protect Americans, the real Americans. Am I concerned for those trying to come here well yes as a Christian I am. But they made the decision to come and now they have to live with it, they were not invited. Best they go back. That was where they were put. Maybe a lot of liberal Democrats should go with them. They don't seem to like our American country. Send them south of the wall. BUILD IT AND THEY WILL STAY OUT.

Having worked for the military for years as their Director of Government Affairs for the NY National Guard, I agree with our President! I was the one who would educate or brief our Congressmen and Congresswomen from NY about the military construction projects in NY and where the money was being spent that was allocated/appropriated in the federal budget. While many of these projects could be justified at that time, building the wall, in my opinion, is much more justifiable than some of the military construction projects. I believe our President is making the right decision; he has his priorities in the right place. You go Mr. President!!!

You close and lock your house, car, RV, etc. to keep out the bad guys. We have to "Close and Lock" out nasty, evil, criminals from our country, and our homes. A WALL gives us this ability and this security!

Yes, we must build the walls to protect our country. As Americans, we feel for the people who are coming but they must try to take their own country back. A person comes the legal way . We can not support all of these illegals. Our debt is too high and something must done about that or we won't have the money to help anyone. This situation is effecting many areas of Americans lives. Most of the illegals are not having respect for our laws. I have lived lived overseas and have seen first hand what goes on in these countries. And yes as an American, we obeys their laws.

Please let them build the wall! We have been flooded with illegal, lawless, criminal minded, anti American immoral belligerent people these past 10 years. They come from countries were horrible criminal gangs and mafia control everything in society, especially elections and politics. Someone should come walk in our shoes here in the Central Valley before they have any opinions about building a wall to protect us, to protect America and our values. You would be shocked to know what they have done to our communities.

Yes of course, I support the wall, but Mexico should pay for it, just like what Trump said.
