They should play the National Anthem at the ball games and any player that does not respect the flag should not be allowed to play. People attend the games for fun snd enjoyment not to see individual problems and causes!!!

The National Anthem should not be cancelled because of player "privilege" to thumb their noses at the values that allowed them to have the amazing careers that they have. It should continue to be played for the vast majority of patriotic Americans, and players should be required to stand respectfully or be asked not to return to the field. Using their paid positions to publicize their personal politics is as unacceptable in this job as it would be in any other.

Our national anthem should be played and the Black national anthem should NOT be played. Respect for our flag is very important and should be taught in our schools. I accept the terms of use and privacy policy.

This is a long-standing tradition of our country. It is also an opportunity for some budding young artists to be heard on a national venue. The anthem is part of what makes the UNITED States of America UNITED. If there are those who are offended by this, they can stay home or arrive after the anthem has been played. There are situations that the majority should not be allowed to run roughshod over the minority. This is NOT one of those situations. Attendance at a ball game is totally voluntary. You don't like the way it's run? STAY HOME. This is a situation that a very few vocal loudmouths should not be allowed to take away part of a joyful time for the majority.

Play it, stand for it or don't play at all.

Let's remember league activities are, for the most part, just money making ventures......just business operations. It's my guess the Natl Anthem was first introduced to put a patriotic "feel good" spin on a business operation. In other

words, just another way of uping ticket sales for increased profit. The decision to be made is.......is playing the Natl Anthem appropriate in these venues? Has it ever been?

If sports leagues are going to take the opportunity to disrespect our flag and our national anthem, then yes stop playing it! Take away their protests! Don't give them the right to pretend that they care about our country. Our servicemen and women have paid dearly so that they have the right to free speech - but not at the cost of our flag and anthem!

Out of respect for all the men and women who gave their lives for the privilege of honoring our flag, it would be a cowardly decision to not play the National Anthem. Perhaps the wiser course is to not mention those who kneel and go on as though they were not noticed. If only one player stands, so be it.

Further division comes with having to have 2 anthems. The dissenters are supposed to be American citizens. We watch games for entertainment, not a political statement.

I will venture a guess, if it continues to be a political statement, many will stop attending and/or watching.

Stand for the Flag and Play the National Anthem and NO black anthem at all. One nation UNDER GOD and kneel for the cross. Don't let our country be taken down in any area.

Playing the National Anthem is an important symbol of the American spirit and our history of overcoming division, including the unity which overrides the competitiveness of sports events. Players who do not respect that spirit and heritage should not be on the field until the anthem has been played and there should be no signs or symbols of political or social divisiveness on any uniform.

Playing national anthem before the games is always a great feeling for the spectators, so avoiding it will not come a good option.

The national anthem brings us together as Americans. It should make us feel proud to stand and show respect to our country. You don't have to agree with everything that Americans do in order to respect America. This is the greatest country that has ever existed. And there should be only ONE national anthem. The suggestion that some sports leagues or others will start playing two anthems is divisive. This is just another BLM tactic to fuel racial tensions.

Our national anthem is NATIONAL and deserves our respectful participation with everyone standing with our hands over our hearts. Removing it from sporting events is wrong, just like in California where the pledge of allegiance is no longer permitted in classrooms but has been replaced with a pledge to mother earth. We must stand for our American traditions every chance we get.

We only have one national anthem and it should be played before all sports. I am very disappointed that the NFL is playing the Black Anthem. Whats next ? . No matter what race you are we are all Americans with one anthem for our nation.

Unfortunately, the reality is that most of today’s sports leagues, just like Hollywood, our public education system and our mainstream media, have all become very politically liberal. Most sports leagues today are run and owned by liberals. Their leaders are only too happy to bow to the demands of their players. Thus they will play a Black Anthem and allow players to disrespect our flag. Americans do not want to go to sporting events and have politics shoved in their faces. Americans want a few places where they can escape from politics. It is very unfortunate that sports leagues have now become political.

I find it very offensive that these athletes who have been given ENORMOUS opportunities and salaries under our American way of life now use their sporting events to disrespect our Flag and protest the greatest country in the world, America. Kneeling during our National Anthem does not change ONE THING in America. Kneeling is an easy thing to do and it requires no effort or commitment. If these athletes were really SERIOUS about improving life in America, they would spend time volunteering in their communities, mentoring Black kids, and serving as positive role models for inner city Black children - who adore them. I see very few athletes doing ANY of those things, because it requires some real time and real commitment to making America a better place.

I wish Americans would send a message to these liberal sports leagues and STOP going to their games and stop giving them our money that is so important to them - until they agree to keep their offensive, weak and meaningless political protests and their politics away from sportIng events.
