Criminals/illegals broke into the US for the sole purpose of subversion

& stealing what US Citizens worked to create...deport all 20-30 million

criminals/illegals...all who break in are criminals/illegals. They break in

subvert every aspect of US/citizens then protest/complain -as front page news at Orange County Register. The kids who are shown to be deficient in at least two languages are the product of corrupt mexico. It is not the responsibility of US/citizens to fix what mexico did to its citizens. SOLUTION: DEPORT ALL 20-30 MILLION CRIMINALS/ILLEGALS. PROBLEMS SOLVED. LET MEXICO FIX IT.

I don't think he ought to shut down the government. I think Congressmen and Senators should not get any pay until they start doing their job. No pay, no summer recess.

Kicking the can down the road at the expense of the hardworking Americans who doing their job in spite of working as a government employee is not right. Especially our military.

Shutting down the government while the action then becomes a political tool in political war games and the war game allows for driving voter base.

The percentage of the shutdown of the past has proven relatively insignificant. Critical functions are kept running.

If it takes a shutdown to get that "big beautiful wall" funded then do it! But recognize it is an act in the political. What worries me is feckless Republicans in Congress being ill prepared to counter the Democrats or some who are anti Trump using the political war game to take our President out.

It is a gamble but one worth taking.

I am SO TIRED of Trump threats! But, also tired of Congress not doing its job in a timely manner. Get to work boys & girls. Make things work! You are my Representatives. I voted you into office now earn your keep and all those perks you have turned into tradition for yourselves. Shut down the government and all you do is penalize innocent people YOU expect to give an honest days work. How hypocritical!!

Shutting down the Federal Government is a toothless Tiger. It does not produce leverage, benefitting absolutely no one. It accomplishes little toward achieving agreement among legislators regarding the pros and cons of pending legislation. Moreover, as well as disruptive to the Government, it is costly in real dollar terms and destroys moral from high level officials down to the grass roots voters. The budget is already costly without adding to the deficit. Congress should stop playing political games, pull up big boy boxers and big girl panties, and do its job - that is what they were elected for.

I watched last time the government shut down. My sons-in-law were caught in the middle as did many of our friends. They should not be penalized. I don't think Trump should manipulate the Congress this way over a wall, and if they do shut down in the future and it's a good reason, then Congress should take the hit, not citizens.

This is a bold move by President Trump. American citizens (both natural born and naturalized) and legal residents believe in the need for a border wall. Favoring illegal immigrants over those who have come to the US legally is a Democrat tactic, and Americans are not buying it. When we favor illegal immigrants, we disfavor our veterans, our children, our citizens in need, our infrastructure, and we continue to add to the deficit. Illegal immigrants must work to solve the problems in their own countries./

While I am very much in favor of the wall, threats to shut down the government will backfire. Trump realizes that the blame for the last shutdown went to the democrats, and probably believes that will happen once more. But the last time it was Schumer who made the threats, which is why the blame went to the Dems. If Trump makes the threats, it's not the Dems who will get the blame!

I agree that our President has to act strongly to solve the illegal immigration problem which has lasted for more than 30 years. His idea of shutting down the Govt may backfire and hurt him in the end, but he needs OUR HELP. That is our support to carry out his threats. If we ALL push hard enough our Senators and Representatives, they will get the message that WE the People want a permanent solution to this problem. It is OUR COUNTRY and we must fight alongside our President to keep it that way.

All Republican women must unite behind one strong voice and ask Congress to pass immigration reform and appropriate $$$ to build the Wall.

The Election promise was that Mexico would pay for it. I know that has now stopped and Mexico will not talk about it, how can we bring Mexico back to this table to benefit both Countries. I am for the Wall.

The government DOES NOT "SHUT DOWN" ... a misleading, and obstructionist ploy, used by each opposing party, every time a president proposes a policy they don't like. In the last 30 years or so, there have been about 9 "government shutdowns", none of which did much more than temporarily restrict access to national parks, or cause similar "blips" in BIG government's primary functions. This "SCARE TACTIC" by the Democrats will be the same. Support President Trump's common-sense policies.

Yes I believe that the President needs to be tough with them. I want the Federal Government SHUT DOWN. I also want the Senate and Congress DONT'T GET PAID while there is shut down!
