Voters have been so caught up with Covid they had, until now, forgotten important issues, eg. our children’s welfare and the rights of parents, not school board officials, to determine what’s ours to protect..our children.

Parental rights played a major role in electing Republicans, but the outrageous plan to give illegal immigrants $450,000. per person (capping families at $1 million) for being emotionally upset as they break our laws and break into our country was the factor that "woke" every American to the destructive policies being introduced and enacted by the elected Democrats. As these Americans learn more about these policies, they will vote against them and reject the candidates that advocate bad policy.

In Virginia, the primary issue for many was unquestionably Terry McAuliffe's comment that parents should have no voice regarding their children's education.

Every parent and grandparent was taken aback by his comment, and many voted for Youngkin who welcomes parents' involvement in the school curriculum.

If Terry McAuliffe hadn't really put his foot in his mouth by speaking his and Democrats' view that parents should have no say in their children's education and the fact that due to the china virus, parents actually saw what their children were learning or not being taught, things might have been totally different on election day. So I think that education proved to be the impetus but because of all the Biden/Harris/Democrat wrong moves since January, voters are now on high alert as they watch their pocketbooks getting hit daily with increased gasoline, food, daily living costs as well as Biden's handlers continuing to press for very unpopular ideas like open borders, giving $450K/person to illegals, not forcing mass vaccinations in this population as the Dems send them out to all corners of our country with the virus.

In a nutshell, I believe the voters (especially Independents) pulled the lever for Republicans because they see America being completely destroyed with the radical Socialist agenda being pushed by Joe Biden and his corrupt, lying, incompetent, radical Socialist/Communist Administration.

Voters cannot see a single American problem being solved since Joe Biden took office. Voters are angry and disgusted.

Biden has hurt average Americans and completely ignored the wishes of average Americans.

Americans can see that this is not representative government and they are pushing back. I believe this is a precursor to a RED wave coming next November, thank God! I hope America is not completely destroyed before next November.

The overreach of radical schoolboys and liberals who want to indoctrinate our children to their agenda. The Bible says to "train up a child in the way he should go" and it is a God-given right for parents to be the ones overseeing this. God loves families and He wants Godly children. Not a state run family. He is Our Father, and I'm SO THANKFUL for that! I'm so thankful for this great push-back election result. We can do this.

I think the voters should focus on the candidates platform and track record. I'm a first time voter and if I cannot choose between the candidates, I will just pick the lesser evil. LOL
