It is well known that there is a physical strength difference between male and females. It is only common sense that it is unfair to put the two genders in the same athletic lane. Sobjack outlined the history of women's sports and how far it has come. I think it is critical that we support our women athletes. They don't deserve to take the backseat again.

Sports is a physical endeavor. Hence physiology is the primary factor.

Physiology is age and gender dependent.

Women's sports is for women, where a woman is an adult, human female.

Further defined: an adult is over 18; a human is a bipedal primate mammal; and a female has XX chromosome.

Now, let's get back to protecting our country, our economy, and our children.

Absolutely not! Susan and Linda have said it very well. Transgender women in sports have destroyed sports for biological females. Transgender women in sports, because of their unfair physical advantage, make it impossible for biological females to win sports competitions.

Transgender women are also a VERY SMALL group of women, statistically, who are allowed a VERY LARGE competitive advantage. This is simply NOT right, and it is NOT fair to the biological females who have sacrificed personally and worked hard for years to compete. .Women’s sports should be confined to biological females born with 2 X chromosomes. Period!

The solution is so simple. Establish another category of sports: men's sports; women's sports, and transgender sports. Let men compete against men; let women compete against women, and let transgenders compete against transgenders. Women who want to be men compete against other women who want to be men and the same for men who want to be women.

Although I have an adult child who is transgender, I still oppose transgenders in women's sports. My child was born a male and has the body of a male. No amount of makeup or high-heels can change that. If he were to compete in sports against women, he would have an unfair advantage due to the physiology of male vs female bodies.

Transgenders make up a tiny segment of the population (0.5% of US adults); those who are both athletes and transgender should be such a minuscule number that we might never even hear of it. Yet, we regularly hear of new instances in which transgenders join women's sports. Activists believe that the more we see and talk about transgenders, the more accepting people will become, so there is a deliberate attempt to make this issue front-and-center in our society. Since younger people are more likely to consider themselves transgender (1.8% of high school students), it seems the activists may be right. We should expect to see and hear so many stories about transgenders that it will seem as if they make up a very large segment of the population.
